i'm gonna try and explain this as best i can but bc of my brain i cant articulate well but here we go: ableism in activism
a lot of marginalized activists when asked questions, even politely, will respond with "google it" or "loads of x people have exhausted time and effort into answering this question before. RESEARCH it" or something along those lines. even im guilty of "google it" HOWEVER- (c)
-this is a huge trigger for me and it's something i've encountered a lot. Your frustration is completely valid. your feelings are totally justified. but pls remember that learning disabled people exist. for me personally, i literally can't "google it" because i get too - (c)
-confused with the results, and i also can't read the articles because my brain can't process paragraphs. i've ran into A LOT of problems with this. or if i say something wrong and i'm bombarded. please be aware is all i ask and be patient w learning disabled people.
-i need short, concise answers and learn best through repetitive conversations and discussions. so if i make a mistake, please dm me privately instead of making it public. and if someone else asks a question, before giving them (justified) attitude PLEASE ensure they-
-don't have a learning disability. even if it's incredibly offensive. some ppl need to learn to be more inclusive with their activism. we are ALL trying our best!!!!!
