I don't believe that the work begins today. The work started a long time ago.

Today might be the day you make a commitment to join or as @BarbaraRansby says a renewed commitment to study, struggle and serve.

They will soon take office and hold high levels of power and influence. Let us not give them a moment of rest.

And by us, I mean anyone committed to collective liberation.

There is enough room and work for us all.

I woke up this morning thinking about the children who have been separated from their parents by ICE.

I am still thinking about the work needed so that no child is separated from their parents, be it in an immigrant OR juvenile detention center.

Thats local + national work.

We have so much more political terrain to shift. I encourage folks to dig into local political work, join an organization, form a study group and lend your energy to the work we need to transform our lives and the future of our communities.
