Yesterday I was walking through the Park Hill neighborhood while my car was being worked on, and something happened that I want to tell you about because it seems more relevant today than yesterday. (1/?)
I walked past a house with a garden in the front, and a mother and her son were working in the garden. Well, she was working. Her tiny son was busily stabbing the soil with what appeared to be a screwdriver. (2/?)
The little guy shouted something that was hard to hear, something to the effect of: "I& #39;MGONNAMAKETHEBEST????EVER!!"
and his mom asked, "You are making what?"
Tiny kindly clarified: "I& #39;m gonna make the BEST LIFE EVER!!" (3/?)

And it& #39;s true! At least I think that it& #39;s true. He IS going to make the best life ever. And regular people around the country made a big step to make that happen last week. (4/?)
You all made it possible for him to make something out of nothing, to make whatever bright thing he was imagining come right out of the earth and into existence. Despite resistance you paved the way to build communities that we want to live in and lives we want to live. (5/5)
