Full circle for me tonight. Twelve years ago Barack Obama and Joe Biden won the highest offices in the land. My wife and I went to the grocery store and a young man carjacked us in the parking lot and put a gun to head

I remember thinking, “Doesn’t he know change is coming?” Naive I guess. But I do believe the country was better for him when Obama was president. Today, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were elected to the highest offices in the land.

I spent the evening celebrating in a grocery store parking lot with the kids of @letsthrivebmore representing @MomsDemand as they participated in @BmoreCeasefire weekend by rapping and singing about the violence in their community and their collective will to rise above it.
