: Originally, Marie has black hair & black irises in creating her. However because there are four black haired reapers (Ghilley, Cyrille, Aitachi & Youssef), I changed her hair color. I hate my cw//yume chara turned into someone’s sibling or selfcest effect.

: I gave her burgundy hair because this mun had dyed burgundy before. Also, I’m considering the option of ginger hair ala Florence Welch. However, both hair colors gave another selfcest effect esp to Ethan & Noah.

: Finally, I gave her purple hair in the end. I noticed that most managers/reaper ocs have purple hair (e.g. @ManagerAkiko ), her hair is a purple ombre (from a purple looked black to a lighter purple on the tips).

: Plus, it matched the deadly nightshade/atropa belladonna motif on her.

Fun fact: I wanted to have purple hair because I was fascinated by Threadbangers’ Corinne Leigh’s (an OG DIY YTer) galaxy hair.

: But for practicality sake (it’s kinda to hard match purple hair in my current Lolita wardrobe), I want to have dark ginger hair - to live my Preraphaelite hair dreams (probably after the pandemic/no more covid in my area).

: Her eye color gone under changes to. From black hair + black eyes combo. Burgundy/red hair + gold eyes combo (yikes, she looked like Ethan’s older sis). Purple hair + gold eyes combo (unfortunately, she looked like a sibling to @lovinglotuss ‘ reaper oc).

: Purple hair + green eyes - which it didn’t work because of her jewel toned wardrobe. The latest is purple ombre hair + black irises (similar to Aitachi’s). The color scheme still retain the belladonna motif w/o overwhelming her outfits.

Note in the other fandoms, Marie have still have black hair + black irises. Only AL Universe, she has purple hair because of the reasons above this thread.
