So, it seems that Biden will be the next President (yea, they are still counting. And there are going to be recounts in a few places, but I don't think there is going to be enough to change the end result).

What's yet to be decided is what his EC vote will be.
So, it's possible that Biden will end up with a lower EC margin than Trump did in 2016.

Does not help with the 'we have a mandate' line, does it.

And then there are the 'irregularities'.

If you're a Dem, and saying there aren't any, you're lying to yourself.
But it will be hard to prove fraud. So, it's extremely likely that the results will stand, even if Trump ends up winning GA/AZ.

Now, here's the question:

Was this a 'repudiation' of Trump?

And the simply answer is.....

Hell no.
While Trump is likely to lose the election, the POLICES of the GOP, and, more specifically, the Trump admin, WON Election day.

Why do I say that?

Well, lets look at the results, shall we?
Pelosi was telling us for weeks that she expected to WIDEN the Dem majority in the House.

But what happened?

The GOP reduced that margin - and not by a little.

There could be as many as 17 seats that flipped to the GOP.

Hell, even Van Drew won, after changing parties.
Next, we have the Senate.

We were told by the media that the Dems would take control of the upper chamber.

Hell, Schumer was practically measuring the drapes.

So what happened?

The GOP will likely come out with a 52-48 majority.

And the MI race is questionable.
Next, lets look at state races.

Everyone expected the Dems to take control of several state legislatures.

But what happened?

They did not flip ANY

And the GOP took control of a couple.

If you don't think that's big, think about what happens in 2021.

Redistricting.
New Congressional districts are going to be drawn.

And the GOP has FULL CONTROL of 28 or so state legislatures.

The Dems targeted several states, and lost them all.

Oh, and the best part?

Dem states are going to LOSE seats in the redistricting.

GOP states gain.
Now, let's look to 2022.

With redistricting, it's almost a lock that the GOP will take control of the House. (however, never underestimate the ability of the GOP to fuck up).

And if Nanners thinks they are going to lose the majority, she's likely going to retire.
But the fun with the House democrats does not start there.

No, it starts now. You're going to see the far, far left progressives fighting with the far left progressives. (come on, there are no real moderate Dems in the House).

In fact, it's already starting.
The GOP would be smart to sit back, let them go after each other, and offer common sense solutions to issues.

let the Dems offer socialism.

it's worked great for them so far, right?
The Senate is, again, under the control of Lord High Executioner, Mitch McConnell.

And the doors to committees where nominees will be vetted should have something from Dante's Inferno over them - Abandon all hope, all ye who enter here.
No one gets through without the blessing of The Grim Reaper.

That's going to be a problem for the left, as Biden will be forced to offer more moderate judicial nominees.

They don't want anyone to work with the GOP.

They want the GOP destroyed.

Didn't work out, though.
So, 2022 SHOULD be a good year for the GOP.

if the Dems in the House and Senate go completely batshit, it could be a great year.

They just have to be smart for the next two years.

Offer to work together. (We've seen some inkling of that from a couple of Senators recently)
And then there is 2024.

Let's be honest, Joe is not running in 2024.

I don't think he makes it to 2024. I expect him to resign in early 2023 - as long as his health holds up.

Why 2023?

Why, the Constitution.
If Biden resigns or otherwise leaves after Jan 20, 2023, Harris would be able to run twice.

If it happens before, she can only run once.

And the Dems don't WANT Biden to finish a full term.

Why?

Incumbency is a powerful thing.
a President Harris would have a far better chance than a VICE President Harris.

Despite her being so unlikable, she makes Hillary look like everyone's favorite cooking baking grandmother, incumbency would be a HUGE help to her chances in 2024.
But the other problem is that she is just unlikable. I mean horribly. She's fake.

That being said, what does the GOP need to do?

First and foremost, do NOT run away from Trump.

If he does end up losing, he's STILL going to be unbelievably popular among the GOP base
And that base has grown, and become far more diverse since he was elected in 2016.

Huge inroads were made in the black, hispanic and LGBT communities.

And that work MUST continue, or everything that was accomplished in the past 4 years is for naught.
For example, this year, we saw Congressional candidates that embraced Trump win.

We can look at @laurenboebert for an example.

The POLICIES are popular. That was proven in the down ballot races.

No, this election was decided on personality.

So, what's the solution?
The solution is embracing the policies, while not creating the self inflicted wounds.

We knew what we were getting from Trump. And he did what he said he would do.

Despite everything they threw at him over the past 4 years, they could not break him.
The Dems would be wise to remember that.

If there is ANYTHING that the GOP can learn from Trump, it's to grow a set.

Don't back down from what you believe. If you say you're going to do something, do it, or die trying.
For all his faults, he did the great majority of what he said he was going to do.

And he tried to do the rest of it.

Border wall? yea.

Cut taxes? yea

Conservative judges? Hell yea.

he didn't back down.

He fought.
Trump will go down as one of the most consequential Presidents in history.

he accomplished more in 4 years than most Presidents could dream of.

Middle east peace agreements. No new wars. Bringing troops home.

And letting terrorists know there are actual consequences.
So, the @GOP needs to remember that.

Stand up for your principles.

Don't run from them.

Don't go back to the elitist, DC insider Republican Party.

The GOP is becoming the party of the working class.

And that is the path to electoral success.
The question is, do they have the backbone to stay on the patrh?

Or do they surrender to the Krystals of the world again?
