I'm unsure what the Biden/Harris administration portends, but I strongly suspect we'll see some form of speech laws championed under the banners of Anti-Trumpism and anti-white supremacy.
A contingent of pro-Trump conservatives will continue to deny the new administration's legitimacy and cause much consternation on social media, eventually leading to mass deplatforming and the institution of new standards for conduct to protect "truth" and quell "disinformation."
Wrapped up with all of this will be EU-style hate speech laws directed against "White Supremacy." Speech on the internet will become increasingly locked down and these new laws will probably lead to the destruction of whatever new platforms may emerge following the Day of the Ban
In concert with these develeopments, I also suspect we'll see the return of 1619 and the Biden/Harris championing the post-BLM new racial consensus, which I think in practice will mean more mandatory HR training nationwide and another mini cultural revolution to clean out
all remaining "white supremacist" imagery, literature, sentiments, et cetera. More statutes removed, more books rewritten, more people deplatformed and publicly shamed as racists.
As for the "truth in conduct" laws, I suspect these will be wielded to nail Trump's coffin forever closed and forestall any possibility of him running again in 2024 as we'll see article after article summing up how bad Drumpf was in painstaking detail for the next four years.
The emerging Trump admin autopsy consensus will, of course, be beyond rebuke and any attempt to question it will be treated as "disinformation" of one sort or another and viciously stomped out. Also wouldn't be surprised if after these standards of conduct are introduced,
we start seeing the P2P surveillance state I discussed back during the height of BLM begin to take formation. I think an army of informants will be necessary to sniff out "disinfo" at the far corners of the net and bring dissident sites to heel.
If you don't think this could happen, I empathize but am concerned what concessions the GOP might make to put the Trump years behind them. I think we're going to see a major unification of the Dems and GOP under Biden and a lot of dealmaking. Just my suspicions...
