1 like = 1 take on abortion or an abortion adjacent issue

1. Abortion is not an issue of preference or philosophy.

I’m not against abortion because it’s kinda gross & I don’t like it. I’m against abortion because it objectively kills an innocent human being

2. Since it was asked, I don’t consider the death penalty “abortion adjacent”. That’s a question of whether or not we should have the authority to “put down” someone who is a menace to society. This is one I won’t answer. I have an opinion but it’s not so cut & dry

3. At the end of the day, wanting abortion is evading personal responsibility. Aside from the 1% that listed rape as their justification, every child aborted is killed for convenience.

Pregnancy is hard. Planned or unplanned. That will never make killing a human being just

4. Poverty has to be the worst excuse for abortion I’ve ever heard. These women had their babies. They don’t look very rich. Their babies aren’t worth any less

5. If we are not human until we are born why should we tell pregnant women not to smoke? Her body, her choice. Fill the fetus with every teratogen

6. To Planned Parenthood, the only difference between a child miscarried at 10 weeks & a 10 week old aborted child is whether or not they were wanted

8. The only thing you need to earn human rights (which include life) are being human & alive.

- Zygote from human parents = human

- Developing & metabolizing = Alive

9. The “don’t like abortion? Get a vasectomy!” Thing going around rn is dumb bc:

- That actually is their body, unlike the fetus you want to kill with abortion

- Men ARE held accountable. It’s called child support. Also men have trouble getting custody from abusive moms

11. The other side might actually be more successful if they acknowledged what the pro-life stance ACTUALLY is & came up with a counterargument.

- Still, coming out the birth canal changes nothing except your visibility. Conception it is!

16. I literally do not care about birth control whatsoever. Legally I’m not opposed to it, but I don’t think it’s healthy (normally... there are some health exceptions & @baimcpher might know more) and it definitely shouldn’t be pushed on 13 year olds to “regulate their period”

17. Can I just say that most prolife people aren’t concerned about your birth control? To me that’s almost irrelevant. That’s what you do with your body BEFORE a child can occur & tbh as long as it’s not somehow abortifacient it aint my business on a legal level
