I’m currently at La Carreta, at 8650 SW 40th St, where a group of Trump supporters have gathered. A few of them have told me they’re here to celebrate Trump’s win in FL and protest what they see as an electoral fraud. Nearly every car driving by is honking.

Just spoke to Olivia and Gilberto Castillo, daughter and father, both Cuban immigrants who got here about two hours ago. Gilberto told me if Biden becomes president he won’t last 4-5 months in the White House before they “the people remove him from power.”

Luz Dominguez, a Cuban immigrant, said she doesn’t want to leave another country the way she was forced to leave Cuba because of communism. She said she considers La Carreta her “White House” and is “sad for America” but happy to see so many “people who love freedom here.”

The catchy Trump song is playing now. Flor de Lis Grotestán, who brought the speaker, tells me she was born “as a slave” and gained her freedom 15 years ago when she moved to Florida. She’s here because she believes “democracy is under attack,” she said.

Grotestán, a Cuban, said she was told her entire life that the U.S. would never lose its democracy but she’s seeing that happen today. “No me puedo quedar de brazos cruzados en mi casa,” me dijo. “Yo soy anti-comunista y Biden es lo opuesto”.

She said fraud happened because the counting of votes stopped Tuesday night when Trump was winning and then resumed with Biden ahead. When I mentioned voting by mail, she said, “What I know is this started years ago; this fraud started in 2016.”

I should add this car is also parked outside La Carreta right now.

There’s also at least four cop cars nearby.

A cop just told me he’s here to make sure traffic keeps flowing. The crowd has grown in the past hour a lot. A Trump supporter told me the caravan of cars with Trump flags are coming from Doral. I’ve only talked to Cubans but I have heard chants of “Venezuelans with Trump” too.
