Let me be 100% clear: Trump supporters finding out their candidate lost today is literally nothing like me finding out he won 4 years ago. My friends and I have lost actual rights and safety nets as a result of his administration after being scolded for worrying about just that.

Trump supporters who are *angry* today that a fascist lost re-election while over 200k people are dead from a disease his administration chose to pretend wasn't a big deal and my friends and I can get turned down by a doctor simply for being LGBTQ+ do not understand.

And what's worse: they CHOOSE to not understand. They saw what he did for four years and said, "yeah, more of that please." Trumpism is a destructive cult but, importantly, it's an evangelical destructive cult. It wants everyone in it when it self-destructs.
