Little while ago someone let loose a Trump baby balloon. Everyone roared na na na na, hey hey, goodbye.
Long passed the point where it’d be futile to guess how many are out here celebrating. It’s enough that cell service slowed to a crawl. Had to walk six blocks from the White House for a signal.

Here’s the view down 16th from Scott Circle. Vast majority wearing masks.
H and 16 — the site of countless protests and police crackdowns in months past — is nothing but a big party now. Choose your adventure, you’ve got Rage Against the Machine in one corner and Miley Cyrus in another. People sitting on stoplights. – bei The White House
Walk a block to the north of the White House and people are having their pictures taken alongside cardboard cutouts of Biden, Harris and Michelle Obama.
Party near the White House, hour four and the champagne keeps flowing. Crowd goes wild when a man with a Biden-Harris flag climbs a traffic light. Ran into a group sipping beer while talking about flipping Georgia.

This right here is peak DC.
Night falls north of the White House. Some people on the fringes of the crowd have gone home but the party at H and 16th goes on. Cheering whenever someone new climbs a stoplight. Road surface sticky with beer and champagne.
