Early trunk rotation limited his torso speed, decreasing his transfer of energy up into the arm. Here is a quick look at his pre-throw routine — “Movement Prep” & plyo work prior to a high intensity hybrid day addressing the desired movement goals and feels.
His programming, for the past 6 weeks, has continued to address these movement capabilities - while allowing him to test these patterns/changes within his high intensity throwing environments. (Feedback!)
We have seen a consistent climb in his compression throws (one shuffle throws) each week as he has emphasized “staying neutral and relaxed in the trunk” into foot strike, and feeling the scaps load and unload without forcing scap retraction...
And the final day, in the last week of his build, is a 3mph PR off the mound in a 10 FB only set! He is now transitioning into his mound blending phase of the offseason to attempt to blend these changes back to the mound.
