Lore ramble: I was reading the in-game item descriptions and I realized that Kaeya deadass might have been abandoned at Dawn Winery just because it was the first large/well-off looking place he and his father came across while fleeing the destruction of their home??
I feel like the 'ancient plot' is less malicious that it sounds and was more like "son, get strong and powerful so you can take vengeance for our people and home" and Kaeya got older in Mondstadt and learned about the seven Archons and was just like well, fuck;; what do I do
When the seven Archons rose to power, the rest of the gods fled to Khaenri'ah and continued their god-schenanigans there.

Mihoyo has confirmed that Genshin and Honkai Impact are related... is 'Honkai' what destroyed Teyvat 500 years ago, the remnants still affecting Khaenri'ah?
Meteor+Rex Lapis=yeah pretty sure Zhongli was involved during the battle in Khaenri'ah, which implies the Archons were around and might have become a target of resentment for the humans there
We can guess that Khaenri'ah is a bunch of islands far east/southeast to Liyue based on the map, and the gods who were defeated by the seven archons fled there (plsplspls be a Southeast Asian-style country T_T)
A great sinner=The god you meet at the start of Genshin? I don't think it's the Traveler's twin (Lumine), but 'powers beyond this world'... Honkai, or Lumine...

It's not impossible that it was Lumine, but the "Reunited" trailer makes me think it wasn't.
Anw back to Kaeya: We know that his father straight up left him near Dawn Winery by the age of 12, probably even younger (he's 22 now; you'd think the Grandmaster would ask this long BEFORE making him Calvary Captain) (in my fic I guessed nine)
Based on the general locations and how it was phrased, we know that Kaeya didn't cross Liyue, so if he crossed Dragonspire, the first human estate that they would have come across would be Dawn Winery.

It was so bad for them that the first humans they met, Kaeya was left there.
I don't think he was intentionally placed at Dawn Winery because Crepus was powerful or influential; I think his father simply decided to leave him somewhere he had a chance of surviving, rather than 100% maliciously being "your entire life purpose is to be a sleeper agent".
But Kaeya now feels conflicted because he knows the seven Archons taking over Teyvat and forcing the rest to Khaenri'ah was part of the reason it got destroyed, yet Teyvat worships these gods, so his father's last words to him have become the same as "destroy the rest of Teyvat"
But even if this whole ramble ends up being wrong, still doesn't change the fact that Kaeya was abandoned in a random place at like, ten ;-; brb crying over him again
