Yay! We& #39;ve won the presidency.

Now we can focus on winning those Senate seats in Georgia.

And we can also work on our messaging! /1
"Defund the police" should never be uttered again by a Democratic politician. What you mean is that you want to reform the police. You want to demilitarize the police. You want the police to think before the shoot.

Let& #39;s work on a better slogan. /2
"Medicare for All!" isn& #39;t the best slogan because there are millions of Americans who know that Medicare kinda sucks. What you actually want is *Medicaid* for all. But you don& #39;t want to say that because Americans associate Medicaid unemployed folks.

Let& #39;s work on it. /3
"Democratic socialism" isn& #39;t good terminology & #39;cause it uses the word "socialism" and millions of Americans emigrated from socialist countries. Putting the word "democratic" before it doesn& #39;t help. If you have to use paragraphs to explain it, your message is bad.

Rebrand! /4
Oh, one more thing...

When you find out someone is Jewish, don& #39;t follow up that revelation by asking how he or she feels about Israeli foreign policy.

I& #39;ve noticed that people on the left do this A LOT.

Stop it.
That& #39;s not just an innocent question. When you ask it, you& #39;re asking someone who& #39;s different than you to qualify whether he or she is sufficiently American enough based on his or her identity.
I am unwilling to be the anti-Semitic party, so yinz just need to stop.
I have a lot of problems with Israeli foreign policy. A lot. I can enumerate if you want me to.

But there& #39;s a difference between that and asking an entire group of people to be answerable for Israeli policy.
The idea that American Jews--hell, Jews in general--are responsible for Israeli policy has become pervasive throughout Western leftism.

That needs to stop. I& #39;d like it to stop here, in America.
The idea that "Jews are responsible for X" is a recurring theme throughout history. It would be nice if it ended here.
I won& #39;t put my name on any party that ascribes to that.

Signed,

An American
