Democratic politicians talk *constantly* about the importance of rural America and the need to empathize across ideological lines. That was Obama's entire Thing! Farmer and factory worker have been the top two professions mentioned in political campaigns my entire life.
The idea that Democrats are condescending to red-state voters is a straightforward myth, a decades-long Swift Boating of an entire political party. What *exactly* should Dem politicians be doing that they're not doing now?
