And yet voters turned out in record numbers to overcome these barriers & make their voices heard

Massive turnout can defeat massive suppression

Thank you to all the activists, organizers, lawyers, poll workers, election officials, postal workers & everyone else who worked so hard under very difficult conditions so people would be able to vote

More than anything I am thinking today of John Lewis, who called the vote “the most powerful nonviolent tool we have in a democratic society”
