amazing that the "let people have feelings" crowd exclusively applies that to celebrating imperialists and not to those of us who are extremely justifiably still scared and angry and recognize that nothing will fundamentally change about the danger we are in

i'm not celebrating a biden win and the WAYS people talk about this are relevant and important. framing this as "we've defeated fascism" "thank gd the war on [immigrants/black people/etc] will end is ACTIVELY HARMFUL and i don't have to pretend otherwise

every single statement you make implying that a biden win will stop the host of abuses that were laid in place long before trump and will assuredly continue after trump -- you're doing ACTIVE and dangerous harm to fighting those things

it is dangerous to prop up rhetoric that allows people to frame these evils as A Trump Thing when they're baked into america and biden+harris have made it very clear they have NO interest in meaningfully addressing, say, ice's fascism, rampant police murders, or white supremacy

and i don't have to quietly sit back knowing my life and the lives of my family are still in danger so that people can celebrate an imperialist. i do not have to allow room for joy in continuing genocide, but politely.
