@fordnation and @Sflecce school plan is not safe. I am an EA who works for the TDSB and on Tuesday I tested positive for Covid. I work with two classes (grade 7 and 8)both pushing 28 kids and volunteered to supervise them during lunch to avoid others getting exposed .
I wear a mask and face shield all day at work. I eat lunch by myself. I drink coffee in an empty room by myself. The ones who stay for lunch eat in their class room with no masks on. The ones who go out for lunch (yes that's allow) basically break "cohorts" daily
To see their friends off school property during lunch. I was my hands so much the skin is dried and cracked, I practically bathe in hand sanitizer. I've gone out 3 times since March. I haven't seen any friends since this started and it still happened to me.
The fact is, the school plan is garbage. How can gyms or restaurants be doing a better job tracing people than our schools are? $200 bucks to parents is a disgusting joke. @fordnation and @Sflecce you need to do better. I am only 32 so thankfully my symptoms are mild.
For the record I believe my co workers are amazing . The deck is stacked against us and every day our government comes out and blames another group of people to "do their part" or "step up to the plate". It's disgusting.
