This is Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) MN-5 and Rep. Elect Victoria Spartz (R) IN-5.

Both are immigrants elected to the United States Congress.

The past two years Omar has been harassed, threatened, and told she will be “sent back where she came from” by Republicans.

It has been different for Spartz. Republicans have made seldom mention of her immigration, and when they do bring it up, it is lauded as a triumph of the American Dream.

So what’s the difference? Look at their pictures. It’s obvious and clear.

Am I saying the Republican Party is racist? Yes. Whether it be direct or complicit in racism, I have no use for distinguishing the two.
