You are hurting yourself by not having a profile
Your portfolio site is like your business card ESPECIALLY when you have no experience! This is what you are using to show you know how to code!

Your portfolio site doesn't necessarily have to be technical, but it does have to look nice!
I don't care if you use a template, a WordPress site or you pay someone to make it. It has to look nice!

Hiring managers have never written a line of code in their life, but they trust a good looking site!

They will then pass that site to the technical manager.
That is when you show off your portfolio items! This is where you show off projects you made and their code.
This is where you show your command of the language!
