This reminded me of a comic I did when I was in hospital after not quite dying of septicaemia a few years ago. I was a marvellous combination of bored out of my mind and slightly deranged from a high temperature and incredibly itchy from discovering I am allergic to penicillin.

I’d just picked a fight with mark latham on twitter which I’m pretty sure I won, but my wife took my phone away to stop me picking fights with everyone else so I started doodling a slightly deranged comic based on when my favourite scientist enrico fermi didn’t join the

...Association of los Alamos scientists. Anyway, it all got a bit confused at that point in the comic because I was definitely a bit more deranged than usual and I just forgot about it, but as it’s about to pass its use by date here it is in all its unfinished expository glory.
