Jesus the Icon of God.

Colossians 1:15
[15]Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

The greed word for "image" in this verse is the same word for Icon, in English.

So, Jesus - the icon of the invisible God.

Imagine lines and lines of code that
Make an app, but, you don't see the code when you open the app. You see the icon and the Interface, Etcetera.

In Jesus we find the Coherence and approachability of God. He is God's "logos" God's Rationale. God's Thought pattern.

And when we see Jesus, we've seen God. When
We know Jesus, we know God. Because Jesus is God, and he's God as translated to humans in a single Compressed idea.

For this reason the world of the believer is knowing Jesus, because that's knowing God. And it also Translates into knowing ourselves, since we are included in
Christ.

It also means, during Bible study, we filter and interpret Through Jesus. Scripture isn't the mediator between God and man, neither is it the word of God (primarily) Jesus is. And all Bible studying ventures must begin from Him.

When we see something attributed to God
In scripture, e.g God sanctioning the killing of Children. The first question is: "would Jesus allow this?"

The test of true theology is whether or not your God is Christ-like.
