Forget "Good Trouble." Some legendary Americans specialized in "History-Making Trouble."

Let's earn their greatness with our remaining acts. 😀♥️🇺🇸
Dear Friends. Watch this all the way through, and I have some insights.

French President @EmmanuelMacron and John Lewis. Check this...
This has been an epic moment upon which so few have commented.

First, check Président de la République Macron (FR) with Rep. John Lewis. (Hero)

They're at the MLK Memorial.
Understand that in statecraft, peers meet with peers.

SecState of America with Minister of Foreign Affairs of some other nation. Depending. VP with VP. Etc.

Macron met with A CONGRESSIONAL REP FROM GEORGIA. And took pictures.

While Trump was POTUS*.
Another diplomatic point: Americans have trouble with kissing of the cheek. Many other nations have trouble with holding hands. It's *not a small deal*.

Diplomatically, moreso.

Macron taking Lewis' hand is no minor thing. Diplomatically or otherwise.
OMG THESE GIRLS ARE FROM VERMONT

Ladies, get yo' français canadien together and greet this man properly. 😀
What was diplomatically significant was that Macron went with John Lewis and spoke the language of the Other Nation in public.

This was, in terms of statecraft, an act of extraordinarily unusual humility and respect.

Loved it then; love it more now.
French people only hug their closest of friends. From childhood.

On a diplomatic mission, I cannot tell you what this means. Just that it is beautiful.
P.S. America and France have a very, very old alliance.

May it sustain us always. 😀🇺🇸🇫🇷
