In light of recent events & on a more positive/educational note I want to show how to correctly (imo) steal art, because I absolutely steal art and I think there is value in doing so if you do it the right way (more info in thread)
The thing that differentiates my "stolen" art from the allegedly stolen art going around twitter right now is one simple thing: steal from multiple sources. If you& #39;re going to take the style, lighting, pose, composition all from ONE other person, at best you& #39;re a cheap imitator-
and at worst you& #39;re going to be accused of being a tracer. You will never be able to directly overlay my art over another artists work and have it be identical, becuase I still from MULTIPLE sources. This is the most important thing. It& #39;s true, no one can make truly original art
steal* not still, but you get the idea. Taking elements from other artists is OK, making nearly identical artworks ONE artist is not, in my opinion. And I& #39;m not trying to make this as a call out post to anyone but rather to help people understand going forward how to do it
It& #39;s true that almost every pose has been done, and there& #39;s only so many "original" poses you can draw, but if you& #39;re going to borrow a pose from someone, you can change it up. You can see I really liked Raikos A2 pose, but i& #39;ve drawn it at a totally different angle
And of course, if you& #39;re going to borrow an element, don& #39;t straight up trace it. Redraw it yourself, make some minor adjustments, make it your own. No one will accuse you of being a tracer if you do it this way
OH and finally you should all check out Kienans video on it

he explains it a lot better than my potato brain can: https://youtu.be/4CAlo0IU-UI ">https://youtu.be/4CAlo0IU-...
