I'm going to read Transcendent Kingdom.

Has there been any think pieces on it yet?
This book has me thinking about family and friends' immigration stories.

Related: also Kamala Harris' immigrant parents - and in general how many people living in the u s are first gen americans.
I think this would be a great book for young adult bible study groups. Think there's a lot to discuss re science vs christianity.
This book has me thinking of two questions:

When families emigrate to the U.S , is it easier for women to emigrate first? Do they have an easier time assimilating ? đŸ€”
Oh my other question, lol right.

I wonder why women are more gravitate to religion as a coping mechanism? I wonder if it has to do with how we're socialized to be "good", moral beings etc.
This book has me thinking about a lot an I really appreciate that. I hope Gifty can find her peace in the end.
The level of detail. I wonder how much is based on her own life experiences.
Bringing this tweet again because nah đŸ€Ź lol https://twitter.com/Staying_Sasha/status/1330524668655177734?s=19
So many great sentences I want to highlight đŸ˜© but I don't usually do that with my books. Lol
I said she was Pentecostal that's a mistake she's evangelical. ***
