Here, I have set out to list publishers of children's literature in Indian languages. This is a partial list, limited only by my own ability to find them online, I will update this list often. Many friends have helped me putting together this list, you could too 2/n
It's also important to note here that many books in Indian languages, including books for children, are self-published. Similarly the large English publishers have recently developed Indian language imprints, some for children's books. I'll skip both these instances 3/n
First, the multi-lingual publishers: Chennai-based @tulikabooks focuses on multilingual picture books for children – in English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Bengali 4/n
@prathambooks publishes books and story cards in a many Indian languages, besides bilingual books - that enable children to read the same story in two languages i.e English and another Indian language – in Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil or Telugu. 5/n
Parag, an initiative of Tata Trusts, has worked with publishers to publish stories in Hindi, English, Urdu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Oriya as also in languages such as Mundari, Bhilori, Pawri and Santhali. 6/n
The @nbt_india publishes books for children in English and in all major Indian languages of India, viz. Hindi, Asamiya, Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. 7/n
@Aamarchitrkatha, which presents its stories in graphic form, boasts "of more than 400 comics in 20+ languages". I was unable to find a list of the languages on its website. 8/n
Diamond Books publishes books for children in the following languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil and Telugu.

Katha publishes books mainly in English, but also has published titles in Hindi, Bengali and Telugu. 9/n
@unistarbooks is a Chandigarh-based,publishing house that publishes books for children in Punjabi, English, and Hindi, sometimes in Urdu.

@CBTIndiaPvtLtd publishes children's books in English and Hindi. So does @karaditales, known for its production of audio books. 10/n
Books in Hindi (or mainly Hindi): @EklavyaPitara publishes books and learning material for children in Hindi and English.

Ektara publishes books and magazines for children in Hindi. 11/n
Manjul Publishing House publishes books in many languages, but its children's publishing programme seems to be limited to English and Hindi, based on what can be found on their website. 12/n
Konkani: @konkanibhasham, Sanjana Prakashan, Rajhans Vitaran, Goa Konkani Akademi, World Konkani Akademi and Learning Spheres publish books for children, some exclusively. 13/n
Marathi: Jyotsna Prakashan publishes mainly children's books, including picture books, fiction, biographies, history, science and environment. They publish books in English and Marathi.

Others publishers include @mehtapublishing, @PopularPrakash, and @RohanPrakashan 14/n
Malayalam: Kerala State Institute of Children's Literature is a publisher exclusively of children's literature. Others like @mathrubhumi, Poorna, Chintha, KSSP, and SPCS publish books for children in addition to their other publications. 15/n
@DCMangoBooks publishes children's literature in English and Malayalam under the imprint Mango Books. 16/n
Kannada: Bangalore-based @navakarnataka publishes children's literature in Kannada.

So do @vasanthaprakas7 and @TotalKannada . The latter also publishes English-Kannada bilingual books. 17/n
Bangla: @deyspublishing, one of the biggest publishers of Bengali literature has a long list of children's books to its name.

@GubaBooks publishes bilingual books in English and Bangla. @BokBok_Books is among the newer publishers who publish books for children in Bangla. 18/n
So does Patra Bharati.

Other publishers of children's books in Bangla include Sishu Sahitya Samsad (an imprint of Sahitya Samsad), Doyel (an imprint of Gangchil), Prokriti (aventure of two kolkata based illustrators - Probir Sen and Krishnendu Chaki), Thema, Papyrus, + 19/n
Swarnakshar, Laalmati, Ananda, Signet, Anustup, Subarnorekha, Dipayon, Chirayato, Boichitro, Debobhasha, Saptorshi, Punoscho, Baulmon, National Book Agency, Deep, Pratikshan, and Sampark. 20/n
Oriya (Odia): There are no exclusive publishers of children's literature in Odia, but there are a few publishers including Grantha Mandir, Vidyapuri, and Friend's Publishers, who do publish books for children in addition to their adults list 21/n
Tamil: There is a long and rich tradition of children's literature in Tamil. Children's stories and folktales were previously available in newspapers and magazines. Vanathi Pathippagam, @NewHorizonMedia, Kavitha Publications are some children's publishers found online 22/n
Assamese: Santanoo Tamuly's Mouchaq Prakashan is a well-known publisher of children's literature in Assam. 23/n
