For Fallen Away Catholics (& Other Christians)

Who Are Thinking About Dusting Off Their Pants & Starting Up Again

But Aren& #39;t Really Sure If They Want To

Or If They Could or Should

Please Consider This:

For every Sunday from now until Christmas (only 8), do the following:
Sundays:

--Unplug from internet & all media for the day
--Do not buy a single thing (even a cup of coffee)
--Do not do chores

Relax.

Read a book. Go for a walk or drive. Visit w/friends.

It& #39;s a quiet, relaxing day.

But at the start of each of these Sundays, do the following:
Greet God in the morning something like this:

I offer this day to You Lord & I Acknowledge Your Glory.

I want to have a sincere relationship with You.

Please help me draw nearer to You.

Do this each Sunday in November & December right up until Christmas.

Then...
If you decide that you do want to start the New Year fresh & get back into the swing of things:

--Go to Confession
--Attend Christmas Mass (Friday, Dec 25th) or Christmas Eve (Dec 24th)

Then on the 9th Sunday, December 27th, go to Mass & offer it up in Thanksgiving to God https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đŸ„°" title="Smiling face with 3 hearts" aria-label="Emoji: Smiling face with 3 hearts">
Reminder: Sunday #4 is tomorrow (consecutive, quiet Sundays considering a return to Church).

If you haven& #39;t started yet, it& #39;s still OK to jump in now!

Here& #39;s something I read this week that touched me & I thought it fits nicely in this thread for this week.

Enjoy your Sunday!

A Family Guide to Spiritual Warfare - Strategies for Deliverance & Healing

(Kathleen Beckman)
Sunday #2 tomorrow for anyone willing to give this a shot. If you didn& #39;t begin last week, you can start now!

How does this do "anything"?

It& #39;s a movement to orient yourself towards God & it won& #39;t go unanswered.

Words matter, action adds fuel.

This is a very gentle beginning.
Reminder: Sunday #3 tomorrow.

Some might wonder:

If they& #39;re too old & war torn, too much baggage...how could turning to God NOW...be possible?

If you& #39;re feeling that tug on your heart, it& #39;s not you. It& #39;s God calling you.

When He calls you, it& #39;s time....It& #39;s not too late.https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🙏" title="Folded hands" aria-label="Emoji: Folded hands">
