Apparently there’s an ‘epidemic’ of Vit. D deficiency in most white collared Nigerians. This is very strange because sun ray is the most efficient catalyst of its production by the body. But obviously many people do not spend enough time in the sun.
There are no symptoms to indicate Vit D deficiency as such. So, to check, you need a simple blood test which your doctor can order.

The implications of low Vit. D, apart from the well known skeletal issues also include, brain/cognitive problems as well as cardiovascular issues.
To boost your Vit. D levels, try and get at least half an hour in early morning sun daily. But even with this you’re still likely to be deficient.

Take Vit. D supplements.
But most importantly, discuss your concerns with your doctor as soon as possible and ask him for a Vit. D level test.

Take my advise.

It’s very important!
