I used to work with a man that had an ad agency. Man was doing good for himself. Getting money from him to execute projects was never an issue. His family was living good, kids going to some of the best schools in Lagos. Suddenly, this man couldn’t afford to buy gas in his car.

He started to sell some of his cars, withdrew his kids from school coz he couldn’t afford to pay their fees anymore, he fired nearly all the staff in his office. He went into depression but he couldn’t tell anyone what was happening

He literally vanished off the face of the earth after a while coz he couldn’t keep up with appearances in his social circle anymore

Come to find out years later that he lost all his businesses and contracts in Lagos because “somebody” decided Seyi Tinubu should be the sole owner of all signage and advertising rights in Lagos.

They literally drove that man out of a business he had built for years. When we say don’t only curse Nigerian politicians but their kids too, it’s coz they are already putting their kids in position to continue oppressing the people.

We all like to believe that Lagos is this wonderful place where we can do whatever we want but truth is to these people, we are just pawns and they think they can move us in any direction that they please.
