You can disagree with how it is phrased and that’s fine. But don’t automatically become defensive and assume you’re being attacked in this tweet. Also don’t be a racist who blames everything on minorities.
If you know me or have followed me on Twitter for a while, you know that I’m quite conservative in my theology and practice. But sometimes we use “just preach the word and administer the sacraments” as an excuse for laziness.
Walther and the early American Lutherans were relentless evangelizers. We can and should learn from that example.
Rather than assume you’re being attacked or that someone raising questions is undermining good theology, let’s be secure enough to engage the question or facts and humble enough to consider that we might not be doing something correctly.
