I got a voicemail from Connery once, after a Canadian with romantic notions about Scotland invited him to be honorary president of a student debating society. He accepted: his role was fulfilled by providing that one voicemail for her to listen to repeatedly in joyful disbelief.

It was, as you would expect, an utterly charming message.
