My love of the CZ75... a thread.
The CZ 75 is (in my humble opinion) the greatest handgun ever made and still is absolute perfection today.
Czechoslovakia took the John Moses Browning hi-power & 1911 design and perfected it. Guns are a personal preference and my preferred manual of arms for handguns is cocked and locked.
In 1975 they took Brownings designs and perfect grip angle and improved them. The CZ grip feels like an extension of my arm. Like second nature.
The new hotness is smaller and lighter. And I get that. If you’re going to carry all day you don’t want a heavy pig poking you and and pulling your pants down in the public bathroom. And the CZ is a heavy pig....
But with all things in physics there are trade offs. The weight of the CZ absorbs the 9mm recoil better than a plastic fantastic for me and makes follow up shots quicker and easier. And it’s not “too” heavy as to make the weight an inconvenience.
The pre-B models had IMHO the best trigger out of the box and polishing the internals will give you a 3.5ish lb trigger other guys pay $1000’s for in race guns.
Lights.... no

Lasers.... no

Optic.... no

Best fucking trigger on the planet and feels like “easy mode” to shoot... yes.
But here’s the big deal. Here’s what sets CZ75 apart.

The internal rails...
If you don’t know guns, are new to guns or never studies gun mechanics or engineering you cannot fathom what a big deal this is....
Flipping the rail internal is expensive, and much more difficult in machine. That’s why everyone else does it the other way.

See how the rails are on the frame and not the slide?
That’s easier and cheaper to do that than to machine the CZ75 internal rails on the slide.
