So yesterday somebody tried to scam me of £80 from @facebook market when I thought I bought a working smart tv. You know Covid19 and distancing things so I was happy to meet outside and trusted his words that the TV was working as new.

So I hit man up, like ‘Mr Rob is the tv still available?’ Man told me yes.
Cool say no more, can you knock some Lizzies off the 100 you asking? He said yes, he can do it for £80. Fair enough I’m game.
Then I checked his location and it happens to be we like neighbours .

So I told him, can you send me your address so I can come and pick the TV up?. Mr Rob ignored the message and told me he won’t be home till 8pm. All I said was cool let me know when you get home so I can come over to pick it. Then he sent me a postcode without the first line of

Address. I didn’t reply, then another message followed like ‘Do you definitely want it? I have few other people that want also’. Trying to psyche me to commit I said yes I do. His follow up message of ‘Ok, my wife may be home, she may be able to bring it out for you’ got me

Thinking. Well gave young Rob benefit of the doubt so I said I’m cool with that send me the address my g.this time he sent the first line of his address and the postcode and when I checked it on the map it’s was like 5minutes from me. Then I told him I live local .

After this ‘I live local’ a sensible scammer should’ve just cancel the deal but he went ahead believing if he succeed I can’t find him. Oh the address he gave me the number doesn’t exist . Ok then I asked him do you want bank transfer or cash, man said CASH. I told him 30mins

I will be there with the cash. On getting to the street I was looking for the house number for like 20minutes, so I messaged him that it’s better if his wife come out with the tv I’m on the street. So his wife came with the tv and I gave her the cash. So I asked her why their

House so hidden that I couldn’t find it, she said ‘that’s what everybody keep saying, even the delivery men finds it difficult to locate some times’ I said ok, nice doing business. Went home and plugged the tv and it was blank, no power nada. So went back to @facebook messager

Where we have been exchanging messages since, Mr Rob already blocked me, I send a message again, it didn’t deliver, whatttttt .
Told wifey get on the car we are going to that address. Getting there I asked for the number he gave me, I was told there’s no such number .

So in my mind I was like so I have been scammed by a rookie, wifey was laughing like ‘shey you say you be benin boy say una no dey lose guard, see you now’. I was pained!!
Man made a mistake by blocking me on Facebook and didn’t put his profile on private. So I told wifey

So I told wifey to check for Mr Rob on Facebook lo and behold his profile popped up and he is a registered waste removal guy, his number was on his page. So I called and called he didn’t pick. I sent him a message that I want my money back in 30minutes that he sold a non working

Tv to me. He didn’t reply. Then I went to company house to see if his business is registered with them with the name on his Facebook profile, nothing came up. Then he made a mistake , on one of his pictures he posted on Facebook he blurred out his address and registration
