I worked in Retail Banking for a while and was assigned to one of the best branches of this private bank.
When you sit at your desk most days there will be a min. of 1 Customer so confused by the whole banking process and vulnerable

Vulnerable and so close to losing their money (savings) that it gave me a sense of purpose. I started spending a little more time with every customer to help them understand. Then they introduced time/per customer & my ratings dropped but my personal sense of achievement rocked.

I spoke to my boss about the lack of financial education & was told to use that to my advantage & sell products. Most that 50+ys wont need like expensive Insurance or Travel Credit cards. I was upset & asked this particular boss what he would do if the customer was his parent.

My rating fell again. But my will & confidence did not. Why am I sharing this, cause one of the customers moved into my apartment complex & recognised me. He introduced me to his son as the banker lady who saved his money and always made him smile.
Gosh I couldn't be more happier
