About to watch The Sixth Sense for the first time, nobody tell me the twist.
Doing a save the cat while also doing the inciting incident? And also establishing a convoluted twist! This is the clearest greenlight that ever got greenlit.
This kid is being introduced with about a hundred quirks and I honestly trust that this movie will pay them all off.
Boy this Bruce Willis character sure seems lonely. Distant almost.
Sometimes all the drawers and cupboards open themselves in my flat? It’s never worried me.
That walk forward/walk backward scene was real good. Such a clear li’l triangle down to the ‘you can’t help me’ line.
She wouldn’t even let him pay the bill! Wow? Almost inexplicable the lack of attention he’s getting from these folks.
Exactly 30 minutes in if you’d like to watch along. ☺️
I call ‘free-associating’ with ‘upset words’ Twitter.
Kid has not said he sees dead people yet. Getting impatient.
Wow. As a Stirring Stanley, not thrilled about that last scene.
Fun use of film to hide the twist - good movies start partway through the scene! This is a good movie! No questions asked.
40 minutes in, no spooks!
A spooky red IT BALLOON! Things are taking off.
Only physically bullied a couple of times before I left the schools with the richest whitest kids, but this is upsetting. Don’t lock kids in cupboards with ghosts, gang!
Learning through a convoluted story that Bruce Willis’s character is called ‘Malcolm’. Hoping this is not the twist.
He’s about to say it!
He said it! He sees them!
Would not have picked that for the midpoint. Honestly would have thought it would have happened way earlier, but it is working great. Good job everyone.
First spook! A dead person! To see!
Second spook! Jesus!
Okay, so if they didn’t hang people here, what’s with the hanged people? Who are here?
A horrible joke from God whenever a child is good at acting. Spitting right in Juilliard’s face.
Would like to see more ghosts. Sure, you, reading this right now, there’s a ghost behind you - but they’re not in the film.
I guess if there’s one group of people whose advice I’d be suspicious of it’s the prematurely deceased.
Two thirds of the way through, I’m ready for some big ol’ spooks. Hit me with a jump scare, babyyy.
Why does he want to talk to his wife again, gang? WHY CAN’T HE DO THAT?
😮 Are the two main characters breaking apart at the beginning of the third act? GREENLIT!
Gang, this is a fun film. No getting away from it, I’m having a fun time. You simply cannot escape it!
Very few spooks so far but it’s my understanding that Marissa makes an appearance?
There she is! And she is not well!
Typical Hollywood propaganda that these people who are ‘in pain’ need ‘help’. 🙄
What’s next? Helping them before they’re in pain? Get it together Hollyweird.
More dolls than I would like. Simply a tremendous quantity of dolls.
What’s in the box... WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
It is not Gwyneth Paltrow’s head, it is a VHS tape.
Oh boy howdy. That’s a murder, gang.
Narratively kind of a weird offshoot though, huh?
His weakness! It is a strength! 💖
Only a few minutes to go. I’ve had a lovely time. I hope there are no more surprises.
Put Toni Collette in everything is an important take away, as it is in every Toni Collette film.
Not sure when/how to announce that I’ve always been able to see dead people but I hope this thread helps.
Such a good reveal. Gets so much praise but so worthy of that praise. A good twist is actually impossible. An enormous test of manipulation through film making. I mean, shit yeah. Good shit.
Wanna have a little cry! So good!
His name was Malcolm the whole time. 💖
