Doom-scrolling a lot? Anxiety starting to peak?

+ Turn off RTs from ppl who throw a lot of stuff into the timeline.
+ Mute lovely ppl who tweet a lot abt stuff you cannot handle. You can unmute later.
+ Follow a lot of wholesome accounts.
+ Mute keywords and be mindful of plurals/alternative spellings
+ You control yr own timeline! You don't need to stare doom into the face 24/7.

In my exp, taking breaks don't work as well as making sure the timeline is balanced and good.
+ Select key accounts to keep on top of news. For C19 stuff, I just follow one (1) public health professional - not 50 accounts. Choose your follows carefully.
+ Set up a locked account for yr screaming into the void. Less feedback loop, more emotional release of doom.
+ These are hard times but we are here for each other. Remember this and adjust your timeline so you keep this in sight at all times.
+ Adjust yr settings so you only see tweers & mentions from accounts with prof pics and verified phone nos. This cuts out A LOT of doom.
