I just arrived in Vancouver at Clark county corrections. Jail support doesn't operate quite the same way up here so if you show up, please be careful.
I'm seeing a few cops driving around and a few at the court house just watching the streets.
Theres county cleaners out already washing graffiti off the side of the juvenile courthouse. I told them I was press and they were kind enough to move aside to let me take pictures.
So im told at this point it looks like once they're processed, they'll be told what their bail is and can then post bail and get out. If they can't post bail they'll have to wait till Monday and hope the judge let's them out.

So far none of our people have been processed.
Theres a bail bond office right across the street and some folks and I went in and asked and they said that if the booking doesn't show up within a couple hours they might just be kicked right out.
They *can* hold people for up to 24 hours before booting them out. They also might be released if the charges are minor like disorderly conduct.
More street art on the side of the juvenile courthouse, the Iron front symbol, "kids in cages here" , fuck 12, and RIP Kevin
The layout of the Clark county courthouse is weird and the place people are released is in the center of the building so they could go towards us or towards the other direction of the building.
A couple of folks out here walked over to have a look and the cops were not happy.
Three cops were outside, two of them followed the two folks who went to have a look and one cop remained by the doors. When I walked over the one cop at the doors called two more cops out of the building to come watch me. I feel so special rn, three cops just for me!
After we all made it back across the street all the cops went inside. "Theyre retreating inside for the winter" someone remarked.
I'm back in my van sitting cuz its cold as shit out here. Cops are periodically circling the block but so far haven't hassled us and the cops that were standing outside the building are still back inside so far.
Looks like Mac is pending release but still hasn't been processed yet.
According to the bail bonds folks I spoke with earlier, it can be four to six hours after processing before folks are released. https://twitter.com/MissHolliLinn/status/1322514588961787905?s=19
And the cops came back out of the court house and seem to be... shining lights? At their own building? Dunno what thats about.
Bail for Mac has been set. $500.

Update: its still cold as shit.
No new updates still
Looks like release might happen closer to noon. People seem determined to hang out here anyway till then, just in case. https://twitter.com/SeemabHussaini/status/1322526172685639681?s=19
Unrelated but somebody told me you can buy a foot square plot of land in Scotland, which allows you to use the title Laird, Lord or Lady.
So uh. My bylines will appear as Lady Rosie G. Riddle from now on oops
I love jail support.
Seems like some people are planning to be here till bail is posted at least, and some folks are just here till daylight, and some folks are waiting for word from specific people.

But we're all tired and going to need some people to come take over day shift eventually.
I'm here until im not anymore. I dunno how long that'll be but I wanna make sure there's some fresh folks out here for day crew before I head out at least.
A couple people just showed up with coffee and breakfast and hand warmers. Yall are champs this was so needed.
So a few folks walked over to ask the cops whats going on. They told us that the records department is closed today because of "the incident last night" but normally they'd be the ones to contact about posting bail.
The cops told us that the option is to contact a bail bonds agent and go through them to post bail. After which we found out we can call records, who are working from home today, to pay the cash bail directly without a bail bonds agent. The cops don't seem to know much tbh :/
One of the sheriffs said that they cant have bail posted until they've hit the booking website, and they haven't yet still.
But someone here is contacting the gdc, and others are in touch with mac's people and things are being worked out.
The Franklin Center and juvenile courthouse are having the windows that were broken boarded up now.
Defense Fund said theyre handling everything but was absurdly non-communicative about, like, anything.

NLG apparently has appointments set to post bail at 10am for all seven arrestees. Which is nice info to have. https://twitter.com/mestoyanoff/status/1322563676360986625?s=19
A baby puppy has arrived at jail support and I love them more than anything in the world.
Most of the folks out here are heading home for a few hours rest. If NLG appointments are at 10, our folks will likely be released a few hours after that so they'll be back between noon and one.

I'm staying here and gonna chill in my van for a bit so im not late back.
A few folks have shown for day crew jail support. A few more are heading down here now. @JFlorencePDX will probably be taking over coverage when they get here. Im a tired baby and will probably go nap in the van when that happens.
This bail bonds place is directly across the street from the courthouse and has been letting jail support use their restrooms. A few of them look kinda chuddy but they've all been really nice for as long as I've been here.
Some more folks have showed up at jail support.

Two very chud folks have shown up to board up the bail bonds places windows too. :/
I'm told the NLG has now paid the bail for all seven arrestees. They should be released in the next few hours! Woo!
Mike with Tri Mountain Angus stopped by to tell us what he thinks of, ya know, things.

Part one.
Part 2 of Mike from Tri mountain angus
Part 3 of 3 of Mike with tri mountain Angus.

APL2787 was his license plate number
After this guy a lifted f-series truck rolled by twice, the second time a guy leaned out the window recording us.
License plate was 903JYJ

Seems the chuds are waking up.
I had to go have a little cry after Mike left. I'm not suited for this lemme tell ya
Thankfully @JFlorencePDX is here and @45thabsurdist is almost here and theres a small mob of jail support here now. So at least I'm not alone. <3
The bail bonds place has been completely boarded up now. Even the entrance.
