. @OurWorldInData is great for cross-country comparison of the #Covid dynamic. Thread below, comparing the #Covid situation in #Germany and #Sweden. Seems to confirm my previous tweet stating that both countries become more and more alike. With perhaps one (crucial) exception.
Almost identical development of the daily new cases (7-day averages per million inhabitants) between Sweden and Germany.
Also: very similar #Covid testing these days (daily tests per 1000 inhabitants)
Also: similar positivity rate in both countries (Sweden and Germany).
BUT: clearly different development of #Covid mortality (confirmed #Covid deaths per million people). I wonder why... Seriously, if anybody has an idea?
But it's reassuring to see that the US has indeed "rounded the corner" on #Covid. Indeed, one of the major achievements of the Trump administration.
