As we approach the second wave the main thing I learned from writing Lost to the Virus is that if your loved one is in their 50s+, still very sick after a week, high temp, not eating - go to hospital. Many died because they didn't want to make a fuss (and 111 said to stay home)
PS Please tell your parents, aunties, uncles this - by the times things get bad enough to need hospitalisation it's often too late. A few days can make all the difference. It's not embarrassing, they're not wasting NHS time. Force them to go. They could be hypoxic and not realise
And if they still won't go to hospital - please send them this and ask them to reconsider. Femi was healthy. He was told to stay home by 111. His family are devastated. They don't want this to happen to other families. Go to hospital! https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/sep/23/blue-lips-and-black-skin-did-a-standard-111-question-help-cause-olufemi-akinnolas-death-from-covid-19
