I am really excited to see how Kibu Vicuna will be setting up his Kerala Blasters side for the new season of ISL. We will have a look

Kibu Vicuna's title winning Mohun Bagan side played mostly in a 4231 and a 422 double pivot. He has also used a 433 and a 4141. With their good depth in midfield KBFC can set up in any of those ways.

So as said above, the main positive for Kerala Blasters is that they have a good pool of midfielders. For each midfield position they have an experienced foreigner,a bright Indian prospect and an exciting youngster.

They have bolstered their defense with the signing of strong and experienced centre backs in @costyy26 and @bakarykoneoff along with Indian nationals @NediyodethHakku and Sandeep Singh. With @nishukumar22 and the experienced Jessel Carneiro, the FBs will be flying high. (4/11)
Replacing Ogbeche - an ISL proven forward- who was one of the consistent goal scorers for the past 2 seasons will be a huge task. The signing of Garry Hooper and a young Jordan Murray is a good move but it might take time for them to adapt to a new league.

Vicuna has also used a second striker - VP Suhair in Mohun Bagan-as an inside forward from the flanks in a 4231 and 2 strikers upfront in a 442. KBFC also has strike options in youngsters Naorem Singh and Shaiborlang Kharpan.

The addition of Albino Gomez and Prabhshukhan Gill will make it tough for Bilal Khan who is yet to find his level -which he was in at Real Kashmir - at Kochi.

@lakibuteka is never hesitant to give the younger players their chance. The rise of Nongdamba Naorem and Sheikh Sahil at Mohun Bagan is a good example. Fortunately Naorem will be running down the wing for KBFC too.

Vicuna ball suits the existing players very well. The passing game will develop players like Sahal and Givson Singh. Rahul Kp who scored a couple of goals in their pre season friendly will also have a promising season ahead of him
(9/11)
Overall the strongest line up comes for KBFC comes in a 4231 but I won't be surprised if they play with 2 attacking midfielders. The depth is also to be noted . It will be hard for teams to face Prasanth from bench after being drained by Rahul. (10/11)
Concluding , this side is not a polished ready to go side but when given time and patience this group of players with this coach who has an eye for silverware will write their names in to the Kerala Blasters folklore for years to come.

They are worth waiting for.
