1/7 A number of followers - @colinb_1983 @joetietjen @IanosirroM - have quite rightly pointed out that NEXT season’s coefficient table is worth looking at 👀👇🏻
2/7 Firstly, worth remembering that each seasons co-efficient standings are based on the previous 4 seasons + the current season, and come into effect in two seasons time.

EXAMPLE 👇🏻
3/7 E.g. 👉🏻 2020-21 standings (where 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 are currently 11th) adds up points from THIS season + seasons 19/20, 18/19, 17/18 and 16/17. The final standings will obviously be set once this season ends.

And those co-efficient implications come into force for season 2022/23
4/7 That means it possible to look ahead and see 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿’s POTENTIAL starting place in the 2021/22 season co-efficient table.

To do that we simply disregard season 16/17’s points total for all countries and see what the table would look like 👀
5/7 REMINDER: In season 16/17 Celtic qualified for CL groups but only drew three games. Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts all went out in Europa League qualifying. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿’s total points for that season is 4.375

(Compare that with 9.750 from last season, and 5.250 this season so far)
6/7 So we ditch all points from 16/17 and voila...

5th France 37.499
6th Portugal 34.866
7th Russia 28.015
*** 8th SCOTLAND 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 25.750 ***
9th Austria 25.250
10th Netherlands 24.700
11th Ukraine 24.400
12th Serbia 21.875
13th Belgium 21.800
7/7 Now MAJOR caveat here that THIS seasons points can and will still fluctuate, so the above is based on as it stands now, and will be ever moving until this season ends. But it’s worth keeping an eye on Austria, Netherlands, Russia, Belgium, even Portugal’s teams results
