I visited the link in the post & discovered that the company was founded & run by a former colleague & that increased my confidence in its authenticity, so I got in touch to buy the cow
He already had a first group of investors who invested in 2015 so that helped to

I then processed my order online to buy, selecting the cow at the farm of my choice
The cow was already pregnant when I bought it & I believe already had a calf which I bought it with that was sold in October of that year at 7 months
As the owner I would be responsible

For the costs of looking after the cow
At the time they hadn't yet introduced insurance as they were still working out the details, but they made me aware that there would be insurance for the cows against certain eventualities
Invoice shows capital plus farm fees for that year

I paid the fees & waited for the outcome of the first sale of calf
Another thing I liked about the investment was that we were pooled together as investors, not sure whether by farm or intake, to spread the risk among us against loss of a calf through unforeseen conditions

This meant that if anything should happen to any one of the calves in that group, the misfortune is shared by all, so that ensures that everyone wins or everyone loses, in a sense, instead of someone possibly always being the unfortunate one
Income was distributed in November

Then insurance was introduced the following year & I was invoice for it & I paid it
Since then the farm & insurance fees raised have been covered by the annual income & I have taken as a payout, what remains, so it hasn't been necessary to pay these costs since the 2nd year

Here's a summary of the movement as at the 2nd year
It's been 4 years of annual income distributions without fail so far
You get issued a certificate of ownership & they send you a token cow
That's it!
