My friend was physically assaulted at her pharmacy because she asked a guy to wear a mask. He punched her in the chest which knocked her down and he was kicking her on the ground. Then he ran. My friend stayed and called the police to report the assault.

The pharmacy tried to bribe her before calling the cops offering to replace the studio monitors she was wearing that he destroyed so now she is unable to make music. Also a huge discount on the medication. She turned it down because she wanted it on record that she was assaulted.

They are blaming her for being beaten. They said they looked at the security footage and say that she should have picked her own battles and that it takes two to tango. All she did was ask for empathy for the people like her who are immunocompromised going to that pharmacy.

This pharmacy is a place where there are cancer patients and people with extremely compromised immune systems. You don’t just go to this pharmacy unless you are really sick. This man did not care about anyone. She kept asking him to wear a mask and he assaulted her for it.

I was on the phone with her the time happened. They’re framing her as an aggressor when she never even touched him until she had to defend herself from his assault. The police want to charge her with disturbing the peace and assault. All for defending herself.

He backed her into a corner and she had a flashback to when she was in school being bullied and beat up so she had a PTSD meltdown and then asked for an ambulance because she wanted evidence. It hurts her to breathe, everything on her right side hurts.

He punched her in the breast which has tumors in it that she was going to have removed on Monday and now she is unable to have that surgery until her body is more healed. The cops don’t care. The ER she went to didn’t even look at everything and ignored most of what she said.

They would not tell her the findings of her X-rays and didn’t even look at her arm which is swollen and bruised. The ER kicked her out when she asked to have all the places she was kicked and punched looked at, they called security on her for asking for basic healthcare.

The security guard did not socially distance and got in her face pulling out his handcuffs, holding them a few inches from her face saying we can do this the easy way or the hard way.

I can guarantee you that if she wasn’t transgender and just a cisgender woman this would have been taken more seriously. This is all blatant discrimination and I don’t know how to deal with it. Take her to another hospital to be mistreated and possibly get Covid because hospital?

How does one even find a lawyer for a case like this? No money. The police don’t care, so is she just expected to take the beating and be banned from the pharmacy she was at because she felt unsafe due to the guy not wearing a mask and it is store policy that everyone has a mask.

The pharmacy never enforced the mask rule on him and who knows where he’s been. Do people already hurt and dying deserve to be treated with zero empathy? The police don’t help you. They antagonize you and they protect the business instead of your personal safety. All about money

She was told that if she presses charges she would be arrested. For her saying words and him escalating to physical assault instead of leaving because he already picked up his prescription? What does one do in this situation? No help. Just bruises, pain, and destroyed headphones.

This entire day stinks of transphobia. I heard it in their voices as she corrected them for misgendering her. It was the sound of visceral disgust. They turned it around on her the second she brought up being transgender. It’s blatant discrimination and there will not be justice.

I’m gonna say it again. If she was a cisgender woman this would be treated with the seriousness it deserves. If she was cisgender she wouldn’t have been treated like she was today. I am absolutely disgusted and at a loss of what to do. No justice, just anxiety as she is scared to go outside at all now. She needs to get checked at another ER but she’s afraid of how she’ll be treated.
