a thread of things to do before a storm surge; from a yolanda survivor

I KNOW THIS IS NOT KPOP RELATED BUT I DO CARE FOR THE WELFARE OF FILO STANS HERE SO PLEASE TAKE NOTE FOR THESE ARE THE THINGS I HAVE BEEN CAUTIOUS OF THAT I WASN'T PREPARED OF IT BACK ON DAYS DURING YOLANDA.

1. please charge all your power banks and emergency light. do store flashlights with batteries, candles and lighters just incase electricity will be interrupted. also charge extra phones and save numbers from resources to ask for help.

2. STORE FOOD AND WATER. food like canned goods, biscuits, etc are needed. if you have a big container to store extra water in your bathroom please do so!

3. if you live in an area where flood is mostly common at your place I SUGGEST NOW TO PUT ALL YOUR BELONGINGS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS AND SUCH TO A HIGHER PLACE. (i lost my desktop because of this before and important documents before too)

4. if there are needed evacuation sites to go through right now PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS, GO! do not hesitate especially if your house is common to wear floods are. if you do have a 2nd floor better yet stay there AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS WHEN WINDS ARE STRONG

5. make sure you have numbers of relatives that you can contact with incase of certain emergencies and hold onto your emergency kits close to you, with band aids, medicines and the suc.

6. If you do have cars, mag pa gas na kayo. it's hard to find a gas station that would be available after the storm.

7. if then power would be interrupted please turn off all your electricity and gas. ALSO DO AVOID STAYING NEAR A LIGHT POST. KAHIT POSTE YAN PAG MALAKAS BAGYO MATUTUMBA PADIN YAN.

8. PLEASE IF YOU STAY NEAR AN AREA WHERE THE SEA IS NEAR. PLS EVACUATE AS WELL.
