i ran down maple street as fast as i could, being careful not to run into anyone. i couldn& #39;t find him. finally, i ran through an alleyway and spotted him. he was sitting on the cold ground, hugging his knees.
"will," i said. i grabbed his shoulders and gently shook him. his eyes widened as if he& #39;d just woken up from a bad dream. "i couldn& #39;t find you! are you hurt?" i asked, practically yelling at him.
"t-the shadow-" will started but cut off. "holy shit!" dustin exclaimed walking towards us with max and lucas on either side.
"i think i& #39;m going to take will home," i said. "i can help," dustin offered. i rolled my eyes and wrapped my arm around will& #39;s shoulders, "i got him. keep trick or treating. i& #39;m bored anyway," i said harshly and walked to my house.
will and i feasted out on halloween candy whilst discussing what he saw. "i don& #39;t know it& #39;s like no one understands," will said. he glanced up at me, "eleven would, she always did" i replied. i saw will& #39;s face drop, but didn& #39;t think much of it.
"sometimes i feel like i still see her, like she& #39;s still here. i don& #39;t know, sometimes i feel like i& #39;m going crazy."
"me too," will said. i looked down at him-- he was a few inches shorter than me.
