Foreigners may find this hard to believe but my Pak compatriots will know that this is a true story:

A citizen files a petition in the courts that the official slogan “Corona se larna hai,” is offensive as it asserts that the will of God can or should be fought against.

The court instead of rejecting the petition outright as absurd, ridiculous and frivolous, accepts it for hearing and refers to Council of Islamic Ideology for an opinion.

CII responds that such a slogan could indeed be offensive in the eyes of God and should be “softened.”

Of such patent absurdities are our people and our courts seized. Little wonder then that cases pertaining to people’s property, livelihood, libel & reputational damage, inheritance disputes etc remain unresolved through decades & generations.

Finally, It’s a worrying insight into the sort of “education“ and warped thought processes that have been wrought on to a whole generation.
These are the issues occupying their minds in priority to social justice, poverty, rape, child and human rights violations, etc
