Hi here’s a thread of ace people / organizations / podcasts / things you should follow if you wanna get educated #AsexualAwarenessWeek
Okay first off I’m going to recommend AVEN or the Asexuality Visibility and Education Network. Great resources, great to talk to, just, great people. So so important. @asexuality is where you can find them.
One of the biggest names in the asexual community right now is @theyasminbenoit - aroace model, writer & activist. And BAMF. Seriously. She’s much more active on Instagram nowadays but still - she writes very insightful stuff and I’ve learned so much
@Dr_PragatiSingh is the founder of the incredible organization @IndianAces_, which is dedicated to raising awareness of asexuality in India. Both her & the organization are doing incredible, important work. Go follow.
@hobis_pouch regularly posts about gender nonconformity and being panromantic as well as asexual, and is a beautiful dancer. They also translate videos into Chinese about asexuality! How cool is THAT
@ope_im_gay is a gay demi Christian who posts all kinds of amazing things that challenge Evangelical views of scripture and talks about how much God loves queer people. If you grew up raised with “homosexuality is a sin”, this is a follow for you.
@Jenna_DeWitt also regularly talks about asexuality in Christian spaces and challenges viewpoints that condemn homosexuality as a sin. I definitely recommend her. Plus she compiles resources! And is aego! Which is not talked about enough!
@AOKPodcast is out here regularly challenging preconceived notions about asexuality and ace behavior VS identity. Check IT.
@soundsfakepod is ran by @Kayla_Kas and @costiellie and us both informative and also just funny. I mean the Chad saga with the cheerleaders? Also they regularly have guests on for interviews!
@coolcurrybooks makes some amazing posts about asexuality and ace education. Also she makes book covers, if you need one. I’ve seriously learned so much from her
@chengela wrote the recent book “ACE” and while I haven’t yet finished the book I can tell you it is SO GOOD and her work is so so important
@AliceOseman writes fictional books with ace & aro characters. Fictional representation is so important- we all know it’s important to have someone to identify with, even on the page. She’s getting rep out there where there isn’t much yet.
@crazyquantum posts often about accessibility and disability, and also is just like one of the coolest people I know. I highly recommend his content.
@AceGentle is an aroace YouTuber and activist in Pennsylvania who got the STATE to recognize Asexual Awareness Week! Very important work being done out here! Go give him a follow!
@DavidJBradley1 is a YouTuber who talks about asexuality in media. He did a fantastic video about the episode of House where asexuality was handled badly. Also he has a black cat.
@SliceOfAce posts videos about asexuality regularly too! Great, explanatory, educational stuff.
@rach_lois is a genderfluid aroace lesbian who posts about discovering her identity and about the misconceptions surrounding angled/oriented aroaces. I’ve learned a LOT. Also they’re cool.
@QueerlyHazel posts a lot of great stuff about asexuality on the reg! I really enjoy her account.
I’m gonna stop that here but I may add more if I think of more

Happy Asexual Awareness Week ya crazy kids
