You can't "always defend freedom of expression," you can't "wholeheartedly condemn" people being murdered over cartoons, while likening the cartoons to "shouting fire in a movie theatre."
The legalities of shouting fire in a movie theatre aside, it could clearly cause reasonable people to panic and be injured. Insulting the prophet does not cause reasonable people to behead teachers.
So basically we've arrived at, "be careful what you say lest a few loser freaks go mental and start killing people."
