Today, I& #39;m making a thread that I& #39;ve gone back and forth with myself for some time, deciding whether I should do it or not. I tried to follow Gabbie& #39;s example and to be ok with people not believing me, but since the issue was raised again i feel like I need to get this straight.
On October 2nd, i posted this tweet:
This is a drawing i did with my friend, months ago. We finished it near the end of June, but then *everything* happened and it never felt right to post it. https://twitter.com/badgjhkarma/status/1312149892815491073?s=20">https://twitter.com/badgjhkar...

The day i posted it, it got some traction, and the day after i quote tweeted it again. https://twitter.com/badgjhkarma/status/1312336780335734784?s=20">https://twitter.com/badgjhkar...
Gabbie noticed that tweet and replied, and even quote tweeted the drawing.

Not long after, people in the fandom, started making subtweets, saying it was just a PicsArt oil filter. Gabbie deleted the quote tweet.
I tried defending myself in the replies, but couldn& #39;t prove that it& #39;s legit - it& #39;s been months and I deleted the original file, and my friend, who helped me with it, didn& #39;t have it either - i posted our conversation is in this thread. https://twitter.com/badgjhkarma/status/1312543636597420038?s=20">https://twitter.com/badgjhkar...
I let it go for the time, since there was nothing I could do to prove that I did draw it, but it always stuck with me. One day, when I had way too much free time, I went through months and months of conversations with the friend who helped me, trying to find anything as proof.
Before I share the screenshot of what I found, I want to make my story very clear again:
I started drawing the EP cover at the end of May/beggining of June. I am mostly self taught at digital drawing, but I also had a year of Photoshop in my 1st year of highschool.
I started drawing the EP cover at the end of May/beggining of June. I am mostly self taught at digital drawing, but I also had a year of Photoshop in my 1st year of highschool.
I originally wanted to make just a regular drawing, but then decided to make something *special* for this EP. I decided that I wanted to make one of those ~ hyper realistic ~ drawings. For that I needed a solid base, so I traced over the original image.
For people that don& #39;t know, tracing is a very conversational drawing technique, since you don& #39;t need too much talent for it, because you& #39;re just going over the already existing lines. After that, I started coloring it with the most of my knowledge.
I realized that I had NO idea how to make that "realistic" look and I asked my friend for help - she draws in another program, Paint Tool Sai & I sent her the draft. That is what I want to share with you.
This is from June 4th, which was at the very beginning of the drawing process - as you can see from the "BOJA" (color, in serbian) layer, even the original coloring still wasn& #39;t completed.
Me and my friend went back and forth for almost the entire month, working on it - when we had time, we worked together over Team Viewer, but she also did it on her own accord, in her spare time. We ended up using a 3rd program - Adobe Illustrator to get the look I wanted.
