A few lockdown tips from an agoraphobic and someone who stayed in the house for 20+ weeks without so much as going to the shop:

- don't set a routine. I thought having one would help my MH but actually it just made every day the same and that was damaging in itself.
- If you can't get out for any reason, you can still exercise by going on Youtube and following work out routines/dance routines. I recommend the Fitness Marshall channel

- Meal prep - if you have a big enough freezer. I struggled with weight gain where I'd snack during lockdown
- It can feel very much like there's nowt else to do but don't spend all your time online on social media. Try and use other ways to contact people that forces you to have to speak to others (especially if you live alone). Zoom and phonecalls rather than just typing.
- I don't wanna sound twee but a project helps. I started growing herbs on my window sill (great if you haven't got a garden) which is quite easy to do and makes you feel you've accomplished something. You can buy seeds online and get compost. They'll grow in pretty much anything
- If you have a garden, make sure you use it. Even if the weather is shite and you sit out with an umbrella. Fresh air is good. You could go down the gardening route and get some spring bulbs delivered to pop in ahead of time (fiver from wilkos)
- Reading (for fun!) is good too. I would turn off my phone, pc and tv and just read. I haven't done that since I was a kid. It's a good way of escaping for a bit, and it's better than the telly cos you don't risk a reminder of what's going on around you.
